“I'm inspired to write because of my faith and spirituality,” he says, “and I feel that inspiration most when I’m in the mountains and away from the world.”

For the creation of these recordings, Rick enlisted the talents of fiddler Joe Craven (David Grisman, Jerry Garcia, Painted Mandolin), Grammy Nominated Barry Phillips (Ravi Shankar, Mstislav Rostropovich, Joshua Bell, Ken Burns), Grammy Nominated Tammi Brown (Bobby McFerrin, Stanley Jordan), Gary Kehoe (SambaDá, Special Fun, The California Honeydrops), Terry Shields (Painted Mandolin), as well as local Santa Cruz standouts and Gail Rich Award recipients Patti Maxine, Pipa Piñon, Rhan Wilson, and producer Stephen Bigger.
