Lyrics

A cold wind blew on Calvary Hill, the day that Jesus died.
His loved ones gathered round Him, huddled against the sky.
A cold wind ripped through them, but they would not leave,
They wanted to be near Jesus’ side, that day…..on Calvary.

….and John cried; “Oh Jesus my Lord”
….and John cried.
….and John cried; “I love You”
….and John cried.

But a warm breeze came blowing, the Spirit had arrived.
It filled their hearts with peace and love, and Jesus was glorified.
They went to tell all people, that Jesus is alive:
That they can have eternal life if they, would just say I, believe.

….and John cried; “Oh Jesus my Lord”
….and John cried.
….and John cried; “I love You”
….and John cried.

The disciples were not welcomed, by everyone they saw.
They were jailed, tortured or beaten, for speaking God’s law.
But their faith was stronger than all these things,
God stood beside them all.
If we could just be like these men, we’d glorify, our God.

….and John cried; “Oh Jesus my Lord”
….and John cried.
….and John cried; “I love You”
….and John cried.

Now tell me all good people, which way will you go?
Will you choose to follow Jesus or turn and close the door.
Will you go and tell all people that Jesus is alive,
That they can have eternal life, if they would just say I, believe.
